Shot Blasting is a technique used in the industries that use metal, to cleanse, toughen (peen) and/or polish metal.
There are two types in shot blasting:
In Air Blasting machines the blast media is pneumatically accelerated by compressed air and projected by nozzles onto the component. The blasting task determines the selection of dry/wet blast and abrasive media to be utilized.
Wheel blasting uses motor driven bladed wheel rotating at high speed. The abrasive is propelled by this bladed wheel, which employs the combination of radial and tangential forces to impart the necessary velocity to the abrasive.
